About the game

Tap the cards in the right order to fill the top row. Only the next card is accepted, and the rest just wobble; the child tries freely and without fear until they find the order.

  • A narrator reads every level's instruction aloud (in Persian)
  • Mistakes are never scolded; the child is encouraged to try again
  • After installing, it works offline

Number Train — an educator's view

Putting numbers in order is a quiet test of whether a child truly understands a number's size. In Number Train, the child taps cards one by one in order to fill the top row — sometimes smallest to largest, sometimes the other way. Grade 1 covers numbers up to twenty and odds and evens; grade 2 and 3 cover counting by threes and close four-digit numbers; grade 4 covers six-digit numbers and same-denominator fractions; and grade 5 and 6 mix fractions and decimals and closely spaced thousandths.

Ordering, a pillar of number sense

The ability to arrange things in order, which developmental psychologists call "seriation", is one of the foundations of number sense. In this game the child doesn't just read a number — they place it relative to the rest, the same sense they'll later need on a number line.

Multi-step planning

At each step, the child has to find the smallest among the remaining cards and remember which ones they've already placed. This means holding a goal and carrying it forward across several steps — a skill called "executive function" that's used across every subject.

Longer doesn't mean bigger

Many children think 0.45 is bigger than 0.5 because it has more digits. A level with exactly this name targets that common misconception head-on. By arranging the cards, the child sees that the length of a decimal number isn't the measure of its size, and they need to look at the tenths place instead.

Risk-free trying

A card whose turn hasn't come just wobbles and stays in place. The child can test a guess, see the result, and think again. This kind of setting keeps curiosity alive and teaches the child that testing a hypothesis is a natural part of thinking.

A tip for parentsWrite down the prices of a few real items or family members' ages on some slips of paper and ask the child to arrange them smallest to largest. In higher grades, mix in fractions and decimals and ask them to explain out loud why each slip goes where it does.

Grade by grade, what does it teach?

Level titles are listed in the order the child plays them — from easy to hard, following the school textbook.
